Enriched Air NITROX – The best way to dive!
Diving with NITROX is becoming more and more popular. This comes as no surprise, because those who dive with NITROX instead of conventional pressurized air:
absorb less nitrogen during the dive, which increases their well-being during and after the dive in brief:
benefit from considerably prolonged no-stop times, meaning they can stay at their maximum dive depth longer.
To summarize, diving with NITROX means more comfort, an additional gain in safety, or a decisive extension of the no-stop time.
What is Enriched Air NITROX?
The normal air that we breathe consists of 78 % nitrogen, 21 % oxygen and one percent other gases.
While the gas mix NITROX is made up of the same components, the percentages are somewhat different: NITROX32 has a nitrogen content of 67 %, an oxygen content of 32 % and 1 % other gases.
NITROX36 consists of 63 % nitrogen, 36 % oxygen and 1 % other gases. In any case, the nitrogen content is reduced while the oxygen portion is increased.
What are the advantages of Enriched Air NITROX ?
The increased oxygen percentage has benefits, the most important one being that the diver absorbs considerably less nitrogen while diving, which increases his physical well-being during and after the dive. Another result is that the reduced nitrogen absorption and the increased well-being mean additional safety.
Further decisive advantages: The use of NITROX allows for longer no-stop time (maximum diving depth). And by choosing NITROX32 or NITROX36 the individual mix can be adapted to personal needs.
